How old do you have to be to work at Petsmart/PetCo/any pet store?

I want to get a high school job at a pet store because I really love animals. My Petsmart and Petco take good care of their pets, but of course it could be better. I have experience with all types of animals from fish to hamsters to birds, etc. I live in south carolina if that affects anything.
