HELP ME! first quesion gets best answer! What do i do when i lost a hamster but my mom dont know i have one?

so i bought a hamster,but my mom dosent know i have one. She a type of parent that is uptight so she never let me have a pet. AND yes she yells. im thinking to try to find the hamster and return it or give it to a freind of mine that loves hamster. BUT the problem is i cant find my hamster, its been almost a week. I stayed up all night but no luck :[
