How do you know if your hamster escaped outside?

I lost a hamster. I cleaned everything to find her. I did a trap and it didnt work, i left treats and it hasnt been eaten. I stay up at night and i dont hear or see her. I checked everywhere. I use it dog to find her but no luck :(
