I am embarrassed by my dad's alcoholism, advice?

my dads an alcoholic too but hes better at pretending hes not. so.. mm.. you cant help him unless he wants help. my advice, tell him the truth, tell him you think hes an alcoholic and that he embarrases you, being harsh might be the only way to get him to acknowledge it. hell probably get mad and ignore you or walk away. but deep down hell know youre right. ask him to stop, ask him to get help. and if he doesnt.. i would say to be careful about how close you let him in your life.. people like that are poisonouos
