What would be a good pet for me?

I want a little pet, not like a dog or cat or something big, something small like a hamster. I'm energetic, my room is super clean, and I'm really imaginative. I would want a parakeet but my mom and dad probably won't let me because we used to have one and it made huge messes. What do you think would be a good pet for me?
